William L. Burke, IV PCLA EGA CMRS | Chief Operating Officer
Bill is our first leader that has experience in both the insurance and restoration industries. The son of a real estate and development company President, Bill earned his undergraduate degree in 1985. He went to work for a national insurer until 1999, when he became Chief Executive Officer of a private claim company until he became Vice President of a Regional Insurer. Bill then returned to his roots and joined the firm in October of 2017. Bill’s leadership in local, state and national associations helps keep our company on the leading edge of industry improvements and updates. In 2018, Bill was named as restoration industry representative to a Committee sponsored by the Virginia State Claims Association to develop education and participation between the two industries. In his spare time, Bill continues to serve on several local and state boards both inside and outside of our industry.
 
 
Troy Boor, Chief Financial Officer
Troy is the Chief Financial Officer at Peerless Carpet Care & Restoration, where he oversees all of the financial operations of the company. Troy owned and operated a Rainbow International franchise for 9 years. During the course of his tenure as a business owner, Troy became IICRC certified in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Commercial Drying Specialist, Fire and Smoke Restoration, Odor Control, and Applied Microbial Remediation. With his background in accounting and knowledge of the restoration industry, Troy is a great addition to the Peerless team. Outside of work, Troy stays busy playing golf, beekeeping, and taking care of his small farm. He holds a BS in Accounting from Strayer University.
 
 
 
 
Gary Scheitle, Vice President
Gary is our Vice President and oversees the commercial and residential divisions of the company. Employed as a route manager in 1988, he has been an intricate part of the company’s success. He has IICRC certifications in cleaning and restoration. With his hands-on common sense approach to managing, he has become a leader for the company. With over 30 years in the business, he believes in honest, personalized service; achieved with respect and dignity. He is family oriented and enjoys biking, sports, and being a musician.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Mike Gilliam, President
Mike is the founder and President/CEO of our company. He began as a single truck operator in 1983. Through decades of hard work and with some help, he has built an industry-leading carpet cleaning and restoration company. By being self-employed most of his adult life, he knows that if you treat your customers and employees with respect and fair play, the rest will take care of itself. His goal is to provide world class service and have fun in the process.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Mark Crews, Executive Sales Director
Mark Crews, our Executive Sales Director and the newest member of our team, arrived in early April of this year. He comes from 3 decades in manufacturing, engineering, and sales. He’s spent the last 17 years successfully assisting our local military (all branches) in achieving the highest levels of performance on their vessels and equipment, through his expertise in mechanics, electronics, and engineering sales. Having served in the United States Air Force himself, and being the son of the previous President of the Military Officer’s Association of America, right here in Hampton Roads, and 5 time Bronze Star recipient; Mark is no stranger to the military, and the military is no stranger to Mark. In fact, he still checks his “gig line” several times per day. He’s very likable and has a fun sense of humor. We welcome him to our team, and we’re certain that you will too.
